There actually is a reason of why I made a portfolio. Two things.
First of all, I really hate those card/links sites. Sure, it gets your credentials out there fast, but it lacks the further creativity you can do with it. Second is so I can have a personal track record of what are the things I have done. Not only that I can see it alone, you get to see what I have done and will make in the future as well.
With that being said, the developments on this portfolio took a lot of iterative development. Since I am not a full-stack developer, I can only do basic designs and concepts at the time I was thinking about this.
First development of the portfolio, around March 2025
When the first iteration came around March 2025, I was surrounded with so many design references, so much so that I am having a design identity crisis because I did nothing but copy those elements on those said references and to what made them good. It stagnated my design workflow. I did not liked this design at all, because it looked all over the place.
Koguma's Playground: The design that I forked.
Three months later, I tried again. Around July 2025 is when I made Koguma's Playground. It was meant to house all of my frontend testing that I want to use on future projects. It never came to be since the scope is too big, and the things I want to put in there is quite ambitious since at this time I am quite still learning how to build pages and to master consistency. Even so, this brought a new idea to make my portfolio again.
Second development of the portfolio, around July 2025
At this point, you can see a resemblance to the version I have pushed to production. Forked from the Koguma's Playground, this has seen some major changes, especially on the hero section, where I have put the cover art below. I was not feeling the design of this one too, so I shelved it again.
It was only at this point where my friend Ruri, had made his own portfolio. This prompted me too to return the developments of this portfolio into action. The rest is history I guess.
